The biggest phone event of the year, MWC 2024, is going to take place this week in Barcelona from February 26th to February 29th. More than 80,000 tech enthusiasts are expected to attend the event. The attendees are going to see a lot of new products, innovations, and technologies at this year’s Mobile World Congress. 

Product Launches to Look Out For at MWC 2024

There are various product leaks and confirmations that are a must to look out for at this year’s Mobile World Congress. Check out the most anticipated products and technologies of this year’s MWC in this post.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra 

Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi released the Xiaomi 14 Ultra on February 22nd in China. The smartphone brand is going to launch the Xiaomi 14 series and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra globally at this year’s MWC 2024.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It comes with a quad-back camera setup with a 50 MP Sony LYT-900 primary camera, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3.2x zoom, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 5x zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide camera. The front camera is 32 MP. The device consists of a 6.78-inch 2K OLED LTPO display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The Xiaomi 13 Ultra consists of a 5180 mAh battery and supports 90-watt fast charging. The device comes in two colors: white and black.

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will be launched on February 25 during MWC 2024. Users can also watch the launch event live via Xiaomi’s official website and YouTube channel.

Honor Magic 6 Pro 

The Honor Magic 6 Series, along with Honor Magic 6 Pro, is also going to be officially launched at the MWC 2024. The smartphones were launched in China last month.

The Honor 6 Pro comes with a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor and runs on Magic OS 8, based on Android 14. The smartphone consists of a 5600 mAh battery and comes with a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 180 MP telephoto camera. It comes with a great 50 MP front camera for selfies.

Honor Magic V2

The Honor Magic V2 is also set to be launched globally at MWC 2024. It is one of the slimmest foldable smartphones. It was launched last year in China and arrived in Europe in January 2024. The foldable smartphone will launch globally at the event.

The Honor Magic V2 comes with a 7.92-inch foldable LTPO OLED inner display and a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED outer display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and runs on Magic OS 7.2, based on Android 13.

It consists of a triple rear camera setup with a 50 MP primary camera, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 20 MP telephoto camera. The front camera is 16 MP. The device has a 5000 mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging.

OnePlus Watch 2

After the OnePlus Watch 1, which was released three years ago in 2021, OnePlus is going to launch the Watch 2. It is expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2024 event. 

According to the leaks, the OnePlus Watch 2 is tipped to have a 1.43-inch AMOLED display. The smartwatch consists of a rotating crown, a button on the right side, a stainless steel chassis, and a sapphire crystal watchface. The smartwatch is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 chip and run on WatchOS.

OnePlus claims that the watch is going to have 100 hours of battery life when used in smart mode. It comes in two different colors: black steel and radiant steel.

OnePlus has officially confirmed that the Watch 2 will be launched on February 26 at 8:30 p.m. IST in India and 10 a.m. EST in the United States.

Xiaomi’s First Ever EV Xiaomi SU7

Xiaomi entered the automotive industry last year with their first ever electric car, the Xiaomi SU7 EV, which was launched in China in December 2023. Xiaomi is going to showcase the EV at MWC 2024.

It comes in two different variants: the standard version and the SU7 Max. The Max version is more powerful, and it goes from 0-100 km/h in only 2.78 seconds. It can go up to 800 km on a single charge and achieve a maximum speed of 265 kph. It comes with advanced autonomous driving and parking features. HyperOS is integrated into the EV, which allows seamless connectivity with Xiaomi devices.

Nothing Phone 2a

Nothing is expected to showcase the Nothing Phone 2a on February 27 at the MWC 2024. 

According to leaks, Nothing’s new smartphone is tipped to come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It is expected to come with a 32 MP front camera and a dual-back camera setup with a 50 MP primary camera and a 50 MP ultrawide camera. It is rumored to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset. It is expected to come with a 5000 mAh battery and 45W fast charging support. 

The Nothing Phone 2a is set to globally launch on March 5, 2024.

Tecno Pova 6 Pro

Chinese smartphone brand Tecno is all set to reveal their new budget smartphone, the Techno Pova 6, at MWC 2024. The smartphone comes as a successor to the Tecno Nova 5 Pro, which was released last year in August.

Currently, there are not a lot of leaks on the specifications and pricing of the smartphone, but it is rumored to come with a FHD+ display and might be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6800 chipset. It may consist of a 5000 mAh battery and run on Android 14.

Tecno Phantom V2 Fold

Tecno is also going to showcase their new foldable smartphone, the Techno Phantom V2 Fold, during the event.

There are not a lot of leaks or specifications, but the smartphone is expected to come with a 7.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display. It is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ processor and run on Android 14.

Other Expected Launches and Reveals at MWC 2024

Lenovo’s new laptop with a transparent screen

According to rumors, Lenovo is going to reveal its new laptop with a transparent screen at MWC 2024. According to an image shared by Evan Blass, the laptop features a transparent OLED display and a touch-sensitive keyboard without keys. Although transparent screens are not a new technology, it seems that Lenovo is commercializing them.

HMD

HMD Global is expected to launch some new Nokia-branded smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy Ring

Samsung gave a teaser of the Galaxy Ring at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in January 2024. Since then, we know very little about the ring, so Samsung might show more details about their new smart ring at the event.

Motorola’s Foldable Technology

Motorola showcased amazing technology at last year’s MWC with a concept phone that featured a rollable display that easily extended out of the device. In October last year, Motorola showcased a foldable smartphone that can be folded around your wrist just like a bracelet, which looked pretty cool. So Motorola might be revealing more about these smartphones at MWC 2024.
