OPPO and OnePlus Smartphones to get AI Features with the New ColorOS Update in China

Chinese smartphone company OPPO is planning to add new AI features to the Android 14-based ColorOS update. Over 100 AI features will be added in the new update for supported OnePlus and OPPO devices in China.

AI features with the New ColorOS update

The new AI features were revealed in several posts on Weibu. Some major AI features are mentioned below:

AI Deletion

The New Year edition of ColorOS consists of an AI Deletion feature through which users can remove unwanted objects from their images. The feature is similar to Google Pixel 8’s magic eraser and Samsung’s object eraser, which were added to the Galaxy S24 Series.

AI Call Summary

There is an AI Call Summary feature that creates a summary of your call when enabled by the user. The AI listens to your phone calls, and after the call is over, users can tap on the status bar, which will take them to a note where the entire call summary is shown along with the timestamps. This feature can also create reminders and a to-do list based on your phone conversation.

AI Features in Voice Assistant Xiaobu

OPPO’s voice assistant, Xiaobu, will also get AI-powered features with the new ColorOS update. It will have AI-powered speech capabilities, making it sound more realistic. It will also be able to complete more complicated tasks with the latest update.
Users can also generate AI images with Xiaobu Photo Studio added to the assistant.

An AI Greeting Cards feature is also added to Xiaobu, through which users can generate custom New Year cards with templates and suggestions.

Conclusion

The new AI features in the new ColorOS update show OPPO is all set to make their smartphones AI-powered.
