What is Bumble’s Deception Detector tool? 

Bumble’s Deception Detector is a machine learning-based model that detects the authenticity of profiles on Bumble. This model is used along with Bumble’s team of human moderators to prioritize safety and correct use of the new technology.During testing, it was found that Deception Detector was able to block 95% of malicious accounts automatically. Scam reports and fake profile reports by users were also reduced by 45% within 2 months. 

Other AI tools used by Bumble

Bumble also uses AI tools like Privacy Detector, which automatically blurs a potential nude image shared within the Bumble chat. The tool was launched in 2019, and the company later released the open-source version of the tool, which is available on GitHub.
