Now there is a new feature that helps you generate consistent character images in Midjourney. This is really great if you ever wanted to create a story around a character with your generated AI images. Midjourney’s new feature, “Character Reference,” makes it possible and allows you to generate new images with the same character as those present in reference images.
The new feature by Midjourney is being appreciated by so many users on social media. In this post, you will learn how to generate consistent character images in Midjourney.
How to Create Consistent Character Images in Midjourney
To create consistent character images in Midjourney, follow the below steps:
- Go to Midjourney’s Discord Server.
- Enter your prompt and type –crf URL at the end of the prompt. Here’s an example: “a tall boy sitting on a bench and playing guitar –crf https:www//…”.
- Use –cw to modify refrence strength from 100 to 0. By default, the reference strength is set to 100, but you can decrease it if you want. Here’s an example: “a tall boy sitting on a bench and playing guitar –crf https:www//…” –cw 0”.
When reference strength is 100, it considers the face, hair, and clothes from the reference image. When reference strength is 0, it considers only the face from the reference image when creating new images.
- You can also blend information from multiple images by using multiple “–cref” tags.
Conclusion
The character reference feature helps users create consistent character images in Midjourney. This will differentiate Midjourney from other AI image generators and attract more users. This feature was always in demand for storytellers, and now that it is a reality, we are going to see a lot of users using it to create story content.
